It follows the development rules on cycling tourism set by the Brevet Randonneurs Mondiaux και Audax Club Parissien and is supervized by the Brevet Randonneurs Greece. Brevet Philippi is a 210 km historical route, passing through more than 20 local villages and the Municipalities of Kavala, Drama, Doksato, Prosotsani, Nea Zichni and Amphipolis.

This cycling route unites some very important cultural, agricultural and environmental places, of which the most famous are the Archeological site of Philippi (Unesco World Heritage site), the Valley of Philippi and the Archaeological site of Amphipolis. The Brevet Philippi event aims to promote the Roman Battle of Philippi that took place at 42 b.C and was so important that changed the history of Democracy within Europe and the World.
